Chinese telecom gear company Huawei has received an order worth nearly Rs 150 crores from Bharti Airtel for the maintenance of its transmission network. This order is part of an existing deal between Huawei and Airtel and is in compliance of the National Security Derivative on Telecommunication which permits the continuation of old contracts.
This order is part of Airtel’s upgradation and expansion of its National Long Distance (NLD) which is being run by the chinese vendor. Airtel had awarded Huawei a similar order last year worth nearly Rs 300 crores. No further data was available since neither party responded to emails for clarification.
