M&M to outperform on the strong order book, new products

Driven by a recovery in automobile demand, Mahindra and Mahindra (M & M) (CMP: 904 rupees, Mcap: 1.12 lakh crore) released a series of figures for the second quarter of FY22.

However, a shortage of semiconductor chips and cost inflation from raw materials affected operating profit.
The company’s strong leadership position in agricultural machinery, the positive mood of the countryside and many new products in the automotive segment make the company a candidate for a long-term portfolio.
