RIL announces the opening of Jio World Complex in Mumbai’s BKC

Reliance Industries Ltd. is all set to open the country’s “largest and most prestigious multi-faceted destination” in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex. The centre is set to have a phase wise opening over the course of the present year and the next.

“Envisioned by Nita Ambani, Director Reliance Industries and Founder-Chairperson of Reliance Foundation, the centre covers an expanse of 18.5 acres in BKC, and is set to become an iconic business, commerce and culture destination, giving India and its citizens a world-class landmark,” RIL said in a statement.

Nita Ambani said, “Jio World Centre is a tribute to our glorious nation and a reflection of the aspirations of New India. From the largest conventions to cultural experiences to pathbreaking retail and dining facilities, Jio World Centre is envisioned as Mumbai’s new landmark, a point where we come together to script the next chapter of India’s growth story.”

The centre will have a Dhirubhai Ambani Square, in honour of Reliance founder Mr. Dhirubhai Ambani, centered around the Fountain of Joy, a series of spectacular fountain shows with water lights and music. With a free entry and open public-space, the centre will be a must see for everyone, citizen or tourist alike. The centre will be spread over an area of 18.5 acres with a kitchen capacity to provide 18,000 meals per day. Moreover, the centre is set to have 5G network as well.
