SpiceJet enters settlement agreement with Boeing over claims related to grounded 737 MAX aircraft

Domestic airline SpiceJet has signed a settlement agreement with aircraft manufacturer Boeing, announced on November 17.

In a submission to the BSE, SpiceJet entered into a settlement agreement with Boeing, stating that “Boeing has agreed to provide certain accommodation.” Resolving unresolved claims related to the 737MAX aircraft touchdown and its restart. “

The press release further states that the agreement “paves the way for more efficient and younger MAX aircraft to be introduced into the SpiceJet fleet and ensures that orders for 155 MAX aircraft will resume delivery of new aircraft.”
