Unacademy brings offline stores for learners to experience the platform’s offerings

Edtech platform Unacademy has launched ‘Unacademy store’, an experience store in Delhi, one that assists learners to view and experience the company’s offerings.

The company has plans to open three more stores in Jaipur, Kota and Lucknow, but the investment into the stores have not been disclosed. These stores are a means to market the platform’s offerings to the learners. This offline store will assist learners to browse and experience the several products provided by the company, get on-ground counseling with experts, meet top educators and many more.

This is not a unique or new move as Byju’s had announced earlier that it was opening over 500 online tuition centres and its subsidiary, Aakash Educational Services, was working towards opening 75 new centres. The race of Edtech companies has gotten a lot more competitive as all of them are looking forward to launch their IPOs.

“In the next couple of years, we definitely want to do an IPO and in the next 12 months, we are eyeing profitability in our core business, which is the test preparation platform, and we are on track to achieve it,” said co-founder and CEO Gaurav Munjal.
