Telecom operator Vodafone Idea has partnered with Nazara Technologies to launch its gaming service.
Nazara Technologies is a leading Indian gaming and sports media platform with presence in India and across emerging global markets like Africa and North America, and offerings across the interactive gaming, eSports and gamified early learning systems.
The service is called Vi Games and is set to offer 1400+ Android games ranging in 10+ genres, comprising of a mix of free and paid games. The company has said that its game offering will initially be that of casual games and then gradually expand into social or esports.
The service will be available through the Vi app and will cost around Rs 50(postpaid)/ Rs 56(prepaid) and offer 30+ premium game titles under its Gold Pass. The platinum Pass works on a pay-per-download basis that will allow subscribers to purchase a single o”exclusive or super premium” game for Rs 25(postpaid) / Rs 26(prepaid).
In other news, the debt-ridden company was denied any relief in the matter of selling pre-activated sim cards for which the company was fined Rs 1.9 crores by the Department of Telecom.
